About the Airport visit and Aircraft Familiarization

Department of Aviation : organized a one-day Industry visit from Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore to Madras International Meenambakkam Airport, Chennai on3 rd July 2024 for 6 th semester students pursuing BBA Aviation Management
Objective of the visit: Learn about various departments and functions within an airport, such as security, ramp, baggage handling, air traffic control, and customer service and understand the logistics involved in airport operations, including how flights are scheduled and managed. Students were also introduced to the different aspects of the aircraft (A 320 Neo), including design, operations, and maintenance
Student’s learning outcome: A deeper understanding of airport management, exposure to advanced technologies, aircraft familiarization, career awareness, skill development, safety and security knowledge, and cultural and global awareness. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, the airport visit provided students with valuable insights and skills that enhance their academic and professional development. This immersive experience not only enriched their education but also inspired and motivated them to pursue successful careers in the dynamic and exciting field of aviation.
